The techniques we offer have been developed over thousands of years and we have taken the time to perfect our application. Below is a short list of the services provided her at An Integrative Massage Therapy. We Specialize in:
Swedish Massage
Massage can be used to promote general well-being and enhance self-esteem, while boosting the circulatory and immune systems to benefit blood pressure, circulation, muscle tone, digestion, and skin tone.
Polarity
The art and science of healing through the empowerment of each person; clearing, aligning and balancing the subtle energies of the body, awakening you to your highest potential.
Pregnancy
While pregnancy is a magical time, it also can be a time of major physical and emotional stress. The release of hormones, the increase in blood supply, the additional body fluid, and the shifting center of gravity all contribute to increased stress and strain on joints and muscles in your pregnant body. Massage can relieve much of the stress and strain associated with these physical changes.
Sports
This method is perfect for athletes and many other active people. We direct attention to soreness, muscle and joint pain, and other stress reliving techniques. The goal is to get you back to your normal active lifestyle without hindering your mobility. Sports and Reflexology can help with recovery and flexibility.
Stress Reduction
We have several techniques to help reduce your stress. Call today to find out more about our wide range of massage techniques.
Indian Head Massage or Champissage
A unique massage that is very popular in London and throughout Europe and becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Champissage focuses on the shoulders, neck, scalp, face and balances Chakra Energy. It transforms one into a perfect state of tranquility. Champissage is excellent for stress-related symptoms, tensions, headaches, tightness, eye strain, sleep disorders, depression, hair loss and especially good for computer related stress and strain.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep muscle massage incorporates deep pressure to release physical as well as emotional trauma held within the muscles.Deep Tissue Massage has proven to be a very effective massage technique, which is directed specifically to individual muscle fibers. Its purpose is to release the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, relaxing, soothing and thereby re-educating, as well as encouraging the muscle to operate at full capacity. It is both corrective and therapeutic.
Reflexology
Reflexology is the application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that purportedly reflect an image of the body on the feet, hands, and ears with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.
Ear coning (Candling)
Ear coning (Candling):a form of alternative therapy in which the tapered end of an ear candle is placed in a person's ear while the other end of the candle is lit, in the belief that earwax and other impurities are drawn out of the ear canal by a partial vacuum created by the candle flame. Based on a 90 minute massage and pricing includes one set of cones.
